What is HairMetrix?
HairMetrix is a diagnostic tool that captures global images using the advanced VISIOMED® D200EVO dermatoscope and artificial intelligence to analyze hair follicles. Together, these tools enable hair restoration expert Dr. Beer to evaluate areas of hair loss using color-coded severity. The application creates a total picture of a patient’s current hair thinning and loss, and makes it easier to plan treatment and see the results achieved.
What can HairMetrix determine?
HairMetrix utilizes today’s latest artificial intelligence algorithms to analyze trichoscopy images to assess the following:
- Average hair width
- Hair follicle count
- Sum of hair width
- Average number of hairs per follicular unit

After obtaining his BS in Zoology from Duke University and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, he completed a residency and Fellowship at the University of Chicago. Dr. Beer is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and is a Clinical Professor of Dermatology at University of Miami. Dr. Beer is the Founder of the Cosmetic Bootcamp program which trains doctors and PA’s enhancing their knowledge of cosmetic dermatology. He has decades of experience and specializes in facial rejuvenation.
Dr. Alejandro Rabionet is a board-certified dermatologist and cutaneous surgeon with extensive experience in evidence-based patient care. He earned his M.D. from the University of South Florida College of Medicine, where he received the Outstanding Student Award in Dermatology. His residency at USF’s Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery and Moffitt Cancer Center further honed his expertise. He is recognized for his research in peer-reviewed journals and is dedicated to community service, including free skin cancer screenings and international medical missions. His personalized care and commitment to patient wellness highlight his expertise and trustworthiness in dermatology.
Anne has been a dedicated dermatology PA in South Florida since graduating cum laude from Nova Southeastern University in 2007. With a Health Science degree from the University of Florida, she combines deep expertise with a passion for skin health, shaped by her background in a sun-drenched environment. Dr. Patrick Zito is a quadruple board-certified dermatologist and Mohs micrographic surgeon with extensive training, including three residencies and three fellowships. He earned dual doctorate degrees, Summa Cum Laude, and additional education from prestigious institutions like Harvard. Dr. Zito is a Clinical Associate Professor at multiple universities and serves on the Forbes Health Advisory Board. Jacob Beer, M.D., is a highly skilled board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon with Ivy League training.
