WHAT IS PHOTODYNAMIC THERAPY (PDT)?
Photodynamic therapy, also known as PDT, is a light treatment that reduces active acne, and even some precancerous lesions and early-stage skin cancers. It is FDA-approved, with proven efficacy and minimal downtime. If you have actinic keratoses (AK) or acne that has not responded well to other types of treatments, PDT could be a viable option to explore.
PDT FOR ACTINIC KERATOSIS
Actinic keratoses are pre-cancerous lesions caused by UV ray damage to the skin, appearing as rough or scaly patches of skin. They are more common in fair-skinned people who have experienced a lot of sun exposure. If left untreated, actinic keratoses could turn into squamous cell carcinoma, a type of skin cancer. Bald men are especially susceptible to AK.

is the Founder of the Cosmetic Bootcamp program which trains doctors and PA’s
enhancing their knowledge of cosmetic dermatology. He has decades of experience and
specializes in facial
rejuvenation.
Dr. Alejandro Rabionet is a board-certified dermatologist and cutaneous surgeon with extensive
experience in evidence-based patient care. He earned his M.D. from the University of South
Florida College of Medicine, where he received the Outstanding Student Award in
Dermatology. His
residency at USF’s Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery and Moffitt Cancer Center
further honed his expertise. He is recognized for his research in peer-reviewed journals and is
dedicated to community service, including free skin cancer screenings and international medical
missions. His personalized care and commitment to patient wellness highlight his expertise and
trustworthiness in dermatology.
Anne has been a dedicated dermatology PA in South Florida since graduating cum laude from Nova
Southeastern University in 2007. With a Health Science degree from the University of Florida,
she combines deep expertise with a passion for skin health, shaped by her background in a
sun-drenched environment. Anne is committed to ensuring optimal skincare and patient comfort.
Residing in Palm Beach Gardens with her family, she brings local insights and a patient-centered

Dr. Patrick Zito is a quadruple board-certified dermatologist and Mohs micrographic surgeon with
extensive training, including three residencies and three fellowships. He earned dual doctorate
