Alejandro Rabionet, M.D.

Alejandro Rabionet, M.D. Dr. Rabionet is a dermatologist and cutaneous surgeon who is devoted to providing the highest level of evidence-based patient care with a personal touch. He is committed to surpassing his patients' expectations when it comes to managing the health and wellness of their skin. His goal is to work with his patients to provide them with personalized treatment plans based on their individual needs.

A South Florida native, he began his studies at the University of Florida Honors College, where he earned an undergraduate degree in Integrative Biology. He subsequently earned a Master's of Biotechnology and a Graduate Certificate in Bioinformatics from the University of South Florida. He continued his studies at the University of South Florida College of Medicine, where he earned the Outstanding Student Award in Dermatology. Following medical school, he completed both his internship in internal medicine and his dermatology residency training at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. A significant portion of his residency training was completed at the affiliated Moffitt Cancer Center, Florida’s only National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated Comprehensive Cancer Center during his training, which is the NCI's highest designation.

In addition, Dr. Rabionet has been extensively published in a number of leading peer-reviewed academic medical journals and has had his work presented at national medical conferences. He demonstrated his dedication to the field of dermatology by completing a research fellowship, during which he had the privilege of advancing the specialty by taking part in the conduction of numerous clinical trials. During the span of his training, he has had the distinction of receiving multiple research grants and awards.

Dr. Rabionet is also passionate about community service. He has volunteered at the Moffitt Cancer Center offering free skin cancer screenings, the BRIDGE student run health care clinic, and on international medical mission trips dedicated to providing sustainable health care to underserved communities.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys following his Florida Gators, playing pickleball, traveling, and spending time with his family.
