The full-time staff at Research Institute of the Southeast includes:
- Monica Dunn, RN, BSN, Director of Clinical Research. She brings extensive knowledge and experience in dermatology to the organization’s clinical research. Monica has worked with Dr. Beer for 18 years and has served as in her current role since his clinical research facility was formed.
- Maria Howe, Research Coordinator. With over 15 years of clinical experience, Maria is a tremendous asset to the clinical trials team.
- Geraldine Watson, LPN. Gerry has been an LPN for 22 years, working in various fields of nursing. The past 2 1/2 years she has changed her path and focused her career in research. Gerry comes from the oncology field and now has a passion for medical and cosmetic dermatology research.

Dr. Kerry Fike is a board-certified dermatologist and Harvard-trained physician. She has advanced dermatologic surgery training and active memberships in many dermatologic associations such as The American College of Mohs Surgery and specializes in non-melanoma skin cancer treatment using Mohs micrographic surgery.
Hillary Julius is a certified Physician Assistant who holds a Master’s Degree in Medical Science from Nova Southeastern University. She has been with Beer Dermatology for 12 years and her passions include dermatologic surgery and lasers. Ms. Julius also is a diplomate for the society of Dermatology Physician Assistants as well as a member of FAPA and AAPA.
